I was planning on writing updates at the end of every week, but Plyometrics deserves its own blog post. When I did plyometrics in week 1, I thought I was going to die by way of lung explosion. I could barely do half of the reps and almost didn’t make it through the workout. It was a great workout, but my legs and lungs measuered close to the Naga Jolokia on the Scoville Scale. That is to say that they were burning! I was proud of myself for getting through the workout, but was disappointed that I couldn’t do all the reps.
Fast-forward one week to Week 2/Day 2. This weeks Plyo workout was great. Not only did I make it all the way through the workout with ease, I was able to do every single rep! I cannot believe the difference in stamina from one week to the next. The increased stamina makes the workout more enjoyable. The sense of accomplishment I get from being able to finish the workout with all reps is overwhelming. It is motivational; it makes me feel the results of the program.
Stick with it….it gets better!
