Mizuno Wave Rider 20 Review

I
I’ve been running in the Wave Rider series shoes for a couple of years, and they’ve all performed and my feet have loved them. But this version, the 20, is by far the best shoes I’ve ever run in. They have completely redesigned the shoe, while keeping the the Wave Rider spirit. The previous Wave Riders sat a little higher on my ankle than the Wave Rider 20, which I didn’t even know I preferred.
From the first step of my first run with the Wave Rider 20, I absolutely noticed that these shoes are by far the softest shoes I’ve even worn, let alone run in. Most runs, regardless of distance, I’d notice a mild discomfort in my left knee. Nothing I couldn’t manage, but it was noticeable. I have not noticed this discomfort after seven runs in the Wave Rider 20. This speaks to how soft these shoes are! These shoes are also highly responsive. It’s kinda weird to have a plush and responsive running shoe, but I can tell the difference both my the way me feet feel after my run, but also that my pace has slightly improved. As a runner, what more can you ask for?!
I usually don’t wear my running shoes for any other purpose, but the Wave Rider 20 is so comfortable and soft, they have become my “normal” shoes. As a bonus, they are awesome looking especially as a fan of the Denver Broncos. I’ve always liked the look of Mizuno running shoes and don’t normally wear “loud” shoes, but the orange is loud and awesome and it looks great!
If you are looking for a neutral running shoe, I highly encourage you to test out the Mizuno Wave Rider 20….your feet will thank you!
