2011 Fight For Air Climb

I was really excited for The 2011 Fight For Air Climb. I had lost about 50 pounds and was looking forward to how well I would do after shedding so much weight. I the previous years, I  finished in the 19-20 minute range. I was on a mission to set a new personal best, however, I was still a bit unsure of how well I would do.

This year, I wore a heart rate monitor to help me gauge where I was during the climb.  More importantly, I wanted to push myself and having the monitor told me that I could keep going when I wanted to stop and rest. That strategy paid off! I finished with a time of 13 minutes 12 seconds. I shaved off over 6 minutes from my personal best!

While I was pumped up and excited for how well I did, I was a little bummed that we had our least amount of team members. Hopefully we can grow our team again for 2012.
